Webinar on Innovation, Manufacturing and startups- May 2020

The objective of this webinar is to apprise the students on innovation and startups. To build confidence among students in this competitive era to have exposure to their ideas.

The online session was held on 14th May 2020 .The speaker is the alumni of the college Mr.Ashir P.N.P. who is the managing partner in Expedite Automation LLP. This session highlighted importance of innovation, manufacturing and startups. The session went on for one hour where the speaker elaborated the outcome of startups and manufacturing which led the students to gain confidence to come up with their innovative ideas. The session was informative with 137 participants which includes IV, VI , VIII semester students and faculties of EEE department and few from other departments.

Through this Session, students gained knowledge on startups and manufacturing where the students can come up with their own ideas. On the whole the online session was edifying and educative.

Webinar on Latest Technologies in Automotive Industries - June 2020

Webinar was arranged on 12-06-2020 on latest technologies in Automotive Industries. Resource person was D.A.Karthick Alumni student graduated during 2011. D.A.Karthick is working as Key Account Manager – Quality company, SEG AUTOMOTIVE GERMANY.

The webinar gave the insight to the introduction of automotive industries, and the development of automotive industries and their working. Also the scope of electrical engineers and their contribution to automotive industries and the latest technologies in Automotive industries was highlighted.

Charity Drive to Nightingales Sandhya Kirana - June 2019

On 1st June 2019, Alumni of Cambridge Institute of Technology had planned to spend their day serving at Nightingales Sandhya Kirana- a Non Profit Organization that serves for the well being of the elderly people.

Prof. Pankaja K, Dept of CSE and Prof Sapna, Dept of ISE have taken initiative for this charity drive with the support of alumni. The drive began at 10.00am and continued till 4.00 p.m. Mr. Preetham Association President from Mechanical Dept and Mr. Sumanth, Association member from ECE dept coordinated in registering more than 25 alumni and showed interest to takepart in the drive.

The activities planned were:

1. Preparing sumptuous lunch on spot for 65 elderly people and serving them.
2. Assisting them in their routine activity of making paper bags.
3. To have candid and intimate conversation with them.

Director Dr. D. H. Rao, Dr. Shashikumar D. R., HoD of CSE and Dr. Sridhar HoD of EEE dept have actively participated and served the elders. Our principal Dr. Suresh L. Could not attend the charity drive due to some unavoidable situation, but he is always encouraging and gives new ideas to conduct such events

Motivational Talk on Entrepreneurship Development - March 2018

Mr. VenkateshaVishwamitra an alumni of our college was inivited to talk on Entrepreneurship Development on 21-March-2018 where around 85 students from 4th and 5th sem attended the event.

Entrepreneurship is the dynamic process of creating innovating things which facilitates civilization with enormous amount of goods and services and enhances the growth of social welfare. The man behind the entrepreneurship has to be action oriented and highly motivated individual who is ready to achieve goals. Students of II year and pre-final year participated in the programme and the programme was conducted as one of the activities during FORUM.

To walk down the memory lane and cherish the wonderful moments spent on the campus, Citech organized an alumni meet on 19/05/2018. The message spread far and wide and more than 250 alumni members attended the meet. The office bearers of the Alumni Association, under the able guidance of the Chief Faculty Coordinator Prof. Pankaja K, assisted by Prof. Sapna, ISE dept, Prof ShyamSundar, ECE dept, Prof Suresh,Mechdept, Prof Sujatha, EEE dept, Prof Diwakar, MCA dept and Prof Raghu from MBA dept, hosted a wonderful evening for the members.

The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, our beloved Chairman Shri. D K Mohan, our dynamic Principal Dr. Suresh L, Mr. Preetham M, President of the Alumni association from ME dept and the heads of various departments and faculty members.

The MC of the program was Ms. Harini, an Alumnus from CSE dept. The detailed report about CiTech Alumni Association was presented by Ms. Pankaja K, Assoc Prof, CSE dept. The event witnessed active involvement from alumni and a number of commendable suggestions were put forth for strengthening the bond between Alumni and their Alma Mater.

The Principal addressed the Alumni about the growth of college. The Chief guest of the Meet, Shri D. K. Mohan addressed all the Alumni and appreciated their suggestions for improvement of the college. CITECHAA President Mr. Preetham Raj requested in his address to all alumni to show active and mass participation in all the work carried by Citech Alumni Association. The meet was concluded with a happy note by Mr. Pushpanathan, an Alumnus from ISE dept followed by sumptuous Dinner, arranged at serene and green lawn of college campus Lawn.

The Office bearers pledged to work selflessly for the growth of the association. Following the Footsteps of the yesteryears, various social service activities were carried out to help the needy. Members of the Alumni association took steps to help the needy especially street vendors and school kids. So our volunteers under the able leadership of Mr.Sumanth, identified 5 Localities.

The work started on 19-05-2018 by 11:00am simultaneously at different localities mentioned below

4. Sevanagar
5. Indiranagar
to help them through winter by providing warm blankets and providing school kids with essential supplies like bags, lunch boxes,stationary kits etc.

The event was a continued effort at reaching out to the society and a noble gesture by our fellow alumni. We at CiTech believe that with greater support we can achieve many more milestones and bring laurels to the Association and our Alma Mater.

Cyber Security And Ethical Hacking Workshop - Sep 2018

The workshop on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking started with a warm inauguration function at 11am in our college, where the honorable CEO at Center of Excellence in Cyber Security, Govt of Karnataka, Mr. Ravikishor Mundada and Ethical Hacker at Canara Bank, Mr. Kunal Kishore along with our College Dignitaries enlightened us with their presence and words.

Post the inaugural function, we started off with a small introduction to the workshop by the CEO of CoE in Cyber Security, Mr. Ravikishor Mundada.

The workshop was attended by the students from Dept. of CSE and ISE right from the first year.

The 3-days workshop started with the introduction to Cyber Security and its importance and Infosec Concepts.

We also learnt protocols such as DHCP, TCP, SMTP and ICMP to name a few, followed by their importance and uses.

We also had lab sessions wherein, we learnt how to detect whether a domain is secure enough or not. We had a small activity in which, we sent a spam mail to ourselves and analyzed the header.es like bags, lunch boxes,stationary kits etc.

In the second day, we learnt about Wi-Fi Concepts and the types of Malware. The lab sessions that were conducted, we mostly used Kali Linux and Windows 10 VM.

In the third day, we learnt about Hacking Wi-Fi passwords, Creating Trojan and Rainbow Tables.

The sessions in the workshop were useful and the trainers gave us wide range of inputs regarding different websites that provide security, analyzing the domain security and inspirational videos of the same.

Our heartfelt gratitude towards the trainers to spend their valuable time with us, and last, but not the least, our sincere thanks to our faculty who were responsible to make this workshop a success.

Mr Naveenkumar.N one of our Alumni student in the department of Electrical and Electronics passed out during 2013 was invited as judge for our project Exhibition during 2018.

At that time he was the Proprietor and MD, Bharath Tesla Power Tech, Bangalore.

Charity Drive to Vidyaranya - August 2017

To walk down the memory lane and cherish the wonderful moments spent on the campus, Citech organised an alumni meet on 06/08/2017.The message spread far and wide and more than 250 alumni members attended the meet. The office bearers of the Alumni Association, under the able guidance of the Faculty Coordinator Prof. Pankaja, assisted by Prof. Sapna, hosted a wonderful evening for the members. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, popular comedian and cine star Mr. Somnath, our beloved Chairman Mr. D K Mohan, our dynamic Principal Dr. Suresh L, VP-HRD Prof. Gurucharan Singh and the heads of various departments along with the coordinators.

The event witnessed active involvement from the alumnus and a number of commendable suggestions were put forth for strengthening the bond between the Alumnae and their Alma Mater.

The meet up witnessed the Office bearers and members of the association come up with a noble idea of helping the needy. They identified an Orphanage called ‘Vidyaranya’ near K R Puram which is a non-profit, non-political and secular development organization established in 1991. The members visited the place and interacted with the faculties of the orphan home. The faculty members suggested that they provide sandals to the children as they go to the school bare footed.

The members wholeheartedly agreed to the cause and bought all the children a pair of sandals each for their everyday use. They also offered a stock of biscuits for a month. The members relived their old memories and gave their valuable suggestions for the improvement of the college and also shared their experiences after college life.

Motivational speech on Engineering and life after Engineering - Oct 2017

Guest lecture was arranged on 30-10-2017 for 5th sem and 7th sem students on Motivational speech on Engg and life after Engg. Resource person was Prashanth .B. Alumni student graduated during 2012. Prashanth. B is working as Manager - Spectra Luminaries Pvt Ltd. Bangalore. The vision of the session is to have interaction of alumni student with the present students , share their views and experience, take their suggestion and train our students accordingly.

Students were also addressed about tips to face the corporate world, and were given motivational speech for their career. The students had interaction with the alumni student. This was followed by high tea.

Seminar on SAP - Nov 2017

Its is always a pride to see our own students dewel n prosper in their domain. One such proud moment was experienced by us in the Department of MCA on 11th November 2017 under the banner of Kritansh. The Alumni’s of the Department held a seminar on SAP and its Uses in todays real world. The seminar was attended by 80 students of 1st year 2nd and 3rd year.

The session highly interactive and was a hands on session that gave the students the complete insight and working of SAP.

The speakers were Mr. Mohan, Product solutions engineer, SAP Ariba and Mr. Chandan S, Senior Software Engineer, IMPEL LLC.

They were very inspiring and motivating to the students

Enhancement on Programming skills - Oct 2016

Enhancement on “Programming skills” was organized under the banner of “KRITANSH” on 21st October 2016 for the students of MCA V Semester. Alumni by name Mr. Avinash Pandey enhanced the programming skills on .Net technology.

He explored the applications of ASP.Net and windows form with hands-on session.
